Sony Ericsson Idou
The company has named the phone “idou” which is a rather unusual name and it might not be around when the product is finally released into the market. “Idou” is a Greek word meaning “behold”.

 

The mobile is equipped with 12.1 megapixel camera. There are also a large 3.5″ touch screen display, GPS, 3.5G support, Xenon flash, and WiFi. The phone is expected to hit the markets in Q2, 2009. The device is all set to bring together design and functionality in a wonderful way.

 

There is not much information in detail about the features of the phone. However we can get a good idea of the phone from whatever information has been released. The phone includes the “Entertainment Unlimited” theme and it is all set to be a pioneer in entertainment handsets in the market. The network of the device will be GSM + UMTS.

 

The phone has a 12.1 megapixel camera and this is sure to begin the megapixels war among the phone companies once again. This phone will be based on a new operating system from the Symbian system.

Sony Ericsson W995
The Sony Ericssom W995 is the latest phone in the Walkman series. It comes with an eight megapixel camera. There is a 2.6″ display. The phone has a plethora of innovations more in the software than in the hardware.

 

This mobile introduces the ‘Media Go’ feature. This is an improved multimedia player that is designed to eliminate every hassle of playing back the audio as well as the video clips. This feature of the phone makes it distinct from the other phones. It enables the files to be transferred from the computer to the phone in every format. The mobile is enabled to play back all the clips.

 

The device has GPS together with Google maps. The phone also makes available subscription to the personal navigation application of Sony Ericsson. The device provides support to WiFi as well as 3.5G data.

 

The device has an 8.1 megapixel camera that is equipped with autofocus, flash, and face detection. There is also support for geotagging that the mobile provides. This phone belonging to the Walkman range has a good multimedia support and also an FM radio. The phone comes with an 8GB memory card that makes space for tracks to be stored. The users of the phone are also provided with 3.5mm audio jack stereo speakers and shake control.

 

The mobile is a quad band GSM phone with UMTS 900 / 2100 MHz support. The phone provides talk time of 4 hours and standby time of 15 days. It is lightweight at 113 grams. It is expected to be released in Q2, 2009 and will sell in three colors of red, silver and black.

Sony Ericsson C903
The Sony Ericsson C903 is the most recent entry in the Cyber-shot mobile series. The phone comes with 3.5G support, 5 megapixel camera, and A-GPS. Similar to the other Cyber-shot mobile devices this phone too would be an excellent imaging phone.

 

One of the most notable features of the mobile is a five megapixel camera that is equipped with geotagging, flash and autofocus, image stabilization, and smile/face detection. The device can capture video clips as well. There is a TV-out port that enables the video clips to be seen in a TV. However it would require the user to purchase an ITC-60 cable for the purpose.

 

There is a 2.4″ 240 x 320 pixel display in the mobile. There is also multimedia support as well as an FM radio and Bluetooth. The phone also allows videos to be downloaded from YouTube and also provides support to photoblogging. There are a number of other features as well including a web browser, email client, RSS reader as well as a wide array of personal information management tools. The users will also be provided with the Sony Ericsson’s Wayfinder Navigator application as well as Google Maps. The phone is designed to be used more for personal navigation than for in-car satellite navigation.

 

The phone will be made available in red, black, and white colors. At 96 grams the phone is a comparatively lightweight mobile phone. The phone is a quad-band GSM device with UMTS 900 / 2100 MHz support and that includes HSDPA. The mobile has a maximum talk time of 4 hours and a standby time of 14 days.

Sony Ericsson C510a
Sony Ericsson C510a is one of the phones of the company that is expected to be released in Q2, 2009. The phone focuses more on the camera features. It comes with a built-in 3.2 mega pixel camera equipped with auto focus that is helpful to detect a person’s smile and take the photo. There is the unique Smile Shutter that automatically clicks the snap when the smile appears on the face of the subject. It can also focus on three faces at a time. The users can see the photos in portrait view and landscape simply by rotating the mobile and then adjusting the light, brightness and contrast through Photo Fix. Photo light makes sure that there is adequate lighting for a better picture. The built-in accelerometer facilitates the rotation of the mobile. The users are enabled to upload photos and videos on the web.

 

They can also use Snapfish by HP which is a preinstalled application that enables print orders to be sent from the mobile to Snapfish. Photo prints are then sent to the homes of the users. The mobile also comes with a built-in FM radio. There are the illuminated shortcuts keys that give the user easy and fast access to the features of the camera. The phones employ cyber shot technology that gives the user high resolution images that is similar to standalone cameras. This is the perfect phone for photographers. The phone is also fully you tube compatible. This allows you to watch your favorite clips while you are on the go.
