Sony Ericsson Idou
The company has named the phone “idou” which is a rather unusual name and it might not be around when the product is finally released into the market. “Idou” is a Greek word meaning “behold”.

 

The mobile is equipped with 12.1 megapixel camera. There are also a large 3.5″ touch screen display, GPS, 3.5G support, Xenon flash, and WiFi. The phone is expected to hit the markets in Q2, 2009. The device is all set to bring together design and functionality in a wonderful way.

 

There is not much information in detail about the features of the phone. However we can get a good idea of the phone from whatever information has been released. The phone includes the “Entertainment Unlimited” theme and it is all set to be a pioneer in entertainment handsets in the market. The network of the device will be GSM + UMTS.

 

The phone has a 12.1 megapixel camera and this is sure to begin the megapixels war among the phone companies once again. This phone will be based on a new operating system from the Symbian system.

Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is a S60 device that comes with GPS, WiFi, 3.5G support, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It is a tri-band UMTS device that has WiFi support and quad-band GSM. The phone has a maximum download speed of 3.6 Mbps. The phone’s display is 2.4″ 320 x 240 pixel panels.

 

At the back of the phone is a 3.2 megapixel camera. The phone includes GPS and this enables the phone to support Nokia Maps and Google Maps. The audio output of the mobile is through a 3.5mm audio socket. The phone has a media player that can play back AAC, MP3 and WMA audio. The phone is equipped with features that provide music lovers quick access to the music they want to listen to.

 

The device has access to the Music Store of the phone and is enabled to share files on Ovi. The device also provides support to Facebook, Flickr, Myspace, YouTube and N-Gage gaming.

 

The phone weighs 135 grams and is quite heavy. Its dimensions are 112 x 51 x 15mm. The phone has a 1000 mAh battery that provides a talk time of 4 hours and 11 days standby time. It is available in different colors including monochrome, red, blue and pink. The music shortcut in the phone allows quick access to the music that is stored in the phone as well as in the Nokia Music Store. The users will also be able to find information on music and artists and also downloads on the device. It also has dedicated gaming keys which makes it an N-Gage phone.The phone is expected to be available in the third quarter in 2009.

Samsung Beat Disc (M6710) is a good combination of touch-screen technology, incredible sound and beautiful design. It is an exciting phone that brings a host of features to the users. The phone has a “half touch’ display and it is only the lower portion of the phone that is touch-sensitive.

 

The display of the mobile is a 2.6″ 240 x 400 pixel panel that has 16 million colors. Some of the features of the mobile include stereo an FM radio, Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm audio socket, microSD expandable memory (16GB maximum), and stereo speakers. The device is primarily a music phone. It enables users to listen to music both with the help of wired as well as wireless headphones. The technology of the mobile has been provided by Bang & Olufsen Company that provides high quality sound.

 

At the back of the phone there is a 3 megapixel camera. Video recording is at 320 x 240 pixels at 15 frames per second. It is a 3.5G device that has a maximum download speed of 7.2 Mbps over HSDPA. The phone also provides support to quad-band GSM. The phone does not have any WiFi but the USB 2.0 HS connector makes it easy to transfer files.

 

The phone is slated to be released into the markets in the second quarter of 2009. There have however been no details about the pricing of the phone.

Nokia 6710 Navigator is the latest addition to the Navigator series of the company. It is an impressive upgrade of the Nokia 6210. This device has a larger screen better camera and battery life. It comes with a 2.6″ 240 x 320 pixel display and can be optimized for outdoors use. The phone has a light sensor that enables the user to adjust the display brightness in accordance with the environment. The phone has an improved mapping and navigation solution.

 

The navigation of the phone will be integrated with Ovi Store that brings about good synchronization between the PC and the phone. The navigation system is useful for motorists as well as pedestrians. Some of the other features that are present in the mobile include satellite images, areas of interest, real-time traffic and an array of other features. The phone comes with a voice guidance that helps the users while navigation.

The phone’s sales package also carries CR-111 car holder which allows the phone to be kept safely inside a vehicle.
